Why the US Naval Market? The United States is currently pursuing an ambitious plan to bolster its naval power. With a goal to increase its fleet from 296 vessels to 381 by 2054, the estimated budget for this project is as high as 1,600 trillion KRW.
In this context, US President Donald Trump’s direct request to President Lee Jae-myung to build US naval ships is highly symbolic.
